BANGALORE: BIG AIMS, Animation Infotainment and Media School announced the launch of its state of the art academy centre in the city.

The chief guests B N Vijayakumar, MLA, Jayanagar and Ramalinga Reddy, MLA, BTM Layout inaugurated the academy. Deepak Raju, managing director of BIG AIMS, Bangalore and others from animation studios were present at the event. The academy aims to bridge the gap between present animation and VFX training methodologies by addressing the real needs of the industry. Post launching centres in Delhi, Pune, Mumbai, Chennai, Indore, Ahmedabad and Jaipur, this is BIG AIMS’ maiden venture in Karnataka.

Speaking on the launch of the new centre, Ashish S K, chief executive officer of Reliance Animation said, “At BIG AIMS each student is induced to the idea that they have entered the exciting and creative film making and story-telling industry.”

He said, “The newly launched education centre will train students not only in software applications, but also will teach them the secrets of animation and VFX film making and effective story telling so that one day they can become accomplished creators of animation content.

In an endeavour to prepare the aspiring youth for unmatched opportunities not only in the field of animation and VFX, but also in advertising, gaming, live action film making, comics and designing we are all set to open BIG AIMS learning centres across all regions in India.”

A special screening for BIG AIMS‘s student films was also organized at FTII International Film Festival.
