BANGALORE: A BE student was found dead under mysterious circumstances.

Harshitha (19), a second semester BE student, was found dead under mysterious circumstances at her residence in Jayanagar 7th Block on Monday morning. The police said that Harshitha, who had gone to take bath, did not return for a long time. Later,  parents broke open the bathroom door to find her lying dead. Police suspect that it may be a case of electrocution.

Life Term for 3 Persons

The Fifth Fast Track Court sentenced three persons to life imprisonment in connection with a murder case. Narayana Gowda (25) of Kunigal in Tumkur, Kumar (19) and Venkatesh (20), both residents of Nandini Layout are the accused.

The three had allegedly murdered Ranganath alias Ranganna (32), who was running a fair price shop at Coolie Nagar Bridge and a resident of JC Nagar in Kurubarahalli. The incident took place on the night of March 3 2010, when the victim was heading home. The trio hacked him to death and escaped. Nandini Layout police had filed charge-sheet against them.
