BANGALORE: Two men were killed in separate road accidents in the city.

Mahesh (28), a mason and a resident of Vijinapura, was killed on the spot after a mini canter hit his bike in front of MTB Wedding Hall near Doddanekundi on service road of Mahadevepura Ring Road on Wednesday around 8.30 am. K R Puram traffic police have arrested the canter driver.

In another incident, Sri Harsha (52), a resident of Kumara Swamy Layout second stage, died of injuries after a tempo traveller knocked him down. He was working at an apparel shop. Banashankari traffic police have registered a case.

3 Drug Peddlers Held

The sleuths of the Women and Narcotics Squad of the Central Crime Branch have arrested three international drug peddlers, including a Maldivian national. Heroine worth `60 lakh has been recovered from them.

The accused have been identified as Banwari Lal (42) of Rajasthan, Chethan Saxena (39) of Madhya Pradesh and Ajuhad Mohammad (24) of Maldives.
