BANGALORE: A seven-year-old boy died after he accidentally fell into a sump at an under-construction site at Adarshanagar in Nelamangala on Sunday, police said.
The deceased has been identified as Kushal Gowda. Police said that the boy left his home to play in the afternoon and did not return home even till evening. Worried, his parents started searching for him, and after an hour they found his body floating in the sump in an under-construction site. They rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he was declared brought dead.
“However, it is not known how the boy fell into the sump. It has to be investigated whether he had gone to play with his friends or he had gone alone,” the police said.
A case has been registered in this regard.
Further investigations are on, the police said.
