BANGALORE: Art ‘Nouveau’- the new art exhibition in French, was organised by the Department of Fashion and Apparel Designing (FAD) of Acharya Institute Of Graduate Studies, (AIGS) here at Soladevanahalli, Bangalore.

Students displayed designed products that included jewels made out of terracotta, electronic semiconductors, environmental wastes etc in eight stalls. The exhibition also included apparels designed by the students, tattoo and nail art studio, hair threading, interior decorative products, eco friendly bags, teddy bags, wall hangings, paintings mobile pouches, glass paintings, ear rings, bracelets, necklace, greetings cards, paintings, candles, embroidery art.

The students got a chance to witness a variety of traditional as well as fashionable clothes with colours representing the different culture and places.

The food stall was also the part of the exhibition, where the visitors got a chance to savour the taste of food items.

Speaking about the event, Shalini Reddy, director of Acharya Institutes said, “It is indeed an excellent idea from the students and the faculties to attend an exhibition like this and I enjoyed a lot and it gives much more scope and confidence for the students to come up with new ideas by using new technology in this field. It is a wonderful endeavour and the management will encourage these kind of programmes.”
