BANGALORE: With an increase in awareness, India is becoming a hub of wellness and health conscious population. Keeping in this mind, Wellness India 2012 will be organised by Bangalore School Sports Foundation from February 23 to 25 at Kanteerava indoor stadium.

This is an initiative to create a platform to present the changing face of wellness in the present scenario  and set direction by bringing in all the stakeholders of the wellness industry for achieving its untapped potential.

Over 120 participants are expected to put up stalls in the expo from across the country along with the participation from countries like French, Germany, Canada and other countries.

Three Mile Wellness Run presented by the organisation, is an initiative conceptualised to promote health and well-being among every citizen in the city.

Speaking at the event, Elvis Joseph, co-convener of Wellness India Expo and convener of the Wellness Run said, “People, today, are giving more importance to the health-related aspects. The three mile Wellness Run will be carried across in 32 different constituencies of the city on the last Sunday of every month.”

He further added, “In order to create healthy lifestyle it is important to educate people about the same. This is an initiative to unite the city for wellness purpose.”

Dr Seema Sadiqa expressed that this expo will be focusing on some of the innovative techniques for the beauty and skin treatment. This will also be an expo that will create an ambience to showcase minimal invasive skin treatments that are practiced globally. Reeth Abraham, an athlete, Shaji Sudesan, an advisor for the upcoming wellness centre in Hyderabad were present at the event.
