BANGALORE: Britain is very keen on strengthening trade ties with Karnataka and also interested in Indian aerospace, said the British Deputy High Commissioner Ian Felton on the sidelines of an event in the city. “We recognize Bangalore as one of the big centres in aerospace and the UK Trade Mission, led by Parliamentary Undersecretary of State Gerald Howarth visited the city earlier this month. The joint venture is going to be very exciting,” he said.

It can be recalled here that the UK Trade Mission comprising over 20 defence firms were on a five-day visit to India to meet decision makers and potential partners here, earlier this month.

Further reiterating the trade agenda for Karnataka, Felton pointed out that Britain is looking at all potential trade avenues here.

“We are making regular visits here. This is an indicator of the fact that UK and India are building a strong relationship. The Trade Mission has gone back with positive responses. We are welcoming businesses,” Felton added.
