BANGALORE: The High Court on Wednesday directed the Department of Mines and Geology to file objections to a civil contempt petition alleging the department of granting mining permits to former minister G Janardhana Reddy even after court orders barred it from doing so. The petitioner, T Narayana Reddy, who produced copies of the Central Empowered Committee (CEC) report and charge sheet filed by the CBI against Reddy, such an action amounts to contempt of court.
