BANGALORE: Charging the police with inaction over a complaint of medical negligence over his son’s death, a man on Thursday filed a petition in the High Court demanding a CBI inquiry against his daughter-in-law and Fortis Hospital.

Pokar Ram Solanki, said that his son Paras, 33, was admitted to Fortis Hospital on July 24, 2011, at 6 am and was declared dead at around 6.30 am.

The petitioner, alleging that the death certificate issued by the hospital contains discrepancies, accused his daughter-in-law, Divya, of colluding with the doctors in this regard.

Pakar, a native of Rajasthan, said that his son was first married to one Kaushalya in 2002. Their marriage broke up due to an illegal affair he had with Divya, whom he married in 2005.
