CHIKBALLAPUR: The entire Chitta Havalahalli of Gouribidanur taluk, Chikballapur, was in grief at the funeral of Nalina Reddy.
Ramakrishna Reddy, Nalina’s father, said that the sole bread winner of the family was now no more. He recalled how his daughter was ambitious to pursue Ph D course. Reddy, speaking about the financial conditions of the family said, they had borrowed Rs 5 lakh loan for Nalina’s higher studies, which still remains uncleared. The family had also pledged their agricultural land to support Nalina’s studies.
Lakshmidevamma, Nalina’s mother, recalled how her daughter had stayed far from the urban influence.
Suganya, Nalina’s childhood friend, praised Nalina and called her a hard working and optimistic person. “Her parents have worked hard for her future and she always gave importance to her family. Her demise still feels unreal,” she lamented.
