Jacob Matriculation School, Tiruvallur, observed Social Justice and Human Rights Week from February 4 to 11. Anusuya Daisy Ernest, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Social Justice and Human Rights, Kancheepuram Zone, inaugurated the programme.

Following the awareness programme, an interative session for parents and teachers was held to discuss the introduction of CCE pattern of curriculum proposed by the Tamil Nadu Government. J Y James Jayaraj, correspondent, interacted with the parents.
Alphonse Conrad Gregory, administrative officer, Income Tax Department, Chennai, distributed prizes to the winners of the district level shot-put event and district level toppers of an aptitude and communication test conducted by Shakespeare Institute of English Studies. Teachers who had produced 100 per cent result in the Class 10 Board Exams 2010-11 were honoured.
