BANGALORE: Dy SP, Internal Security (HQ), D Phalakshaiah has bagged the honour for giving the best presentation at the six-day state seminar and work shop held on ‘Investigation of Murder and Homicides cases’ which concluded on Saturday.

The workshop was organised by the Karnataka State Police Academy. Several experts including scientists from various Forensic science laboratories participated as source persons including Dr P Chandrashekhar director (Retd) Forensic Science Laboratories (Chennai), Dr Nanjundappa Dy director FSL (Karnataka), D Karthikeyan, director (Retd) CBI among others.

According to official sources, D Phalakshaiah, who authored the book ‘Shabdadolagina Nishabda’ on the investigation cases of murder he had successfully handled in the past, was adjudged as the best presenter in a seminar on the subject.

He bagged a cash prize of `10,000 and a plaque for his performances. About seven teams were formed among the participants to present the best cases they have handled of murder and cracking of homicide cases.

About 150 officials from the rank of SP to Police Inspectors from all 30 districts in the state participated at the seminar and workshop.

Amarkumar Pandey, IG and director Karnataka Police Academy and other senior officials also participated, sources said.
