BANGALORE: If you are missing Tirupati laddus this ‘Vaikunta Ekadashi’, here is some good news. Former Muzrai minister S N Krishnaiah Setty along with Sri Sai Gold Palace is planning to distribute 3.5 lakh laddus (which has almost the same taste as Tirupathi laddus) at Srinivasa temples across the State.

According to T A Sharavana, Proprietor of Sai Gold Palace, this is an attempt to provide the taste of Tirupathi laddus to devotees.

“Former Muzrai minister and myself will together distribute 3.5 lakh ladduss in all 2,500 Lord Srinivasa temple which come under Muzrai department as well as private temples,” he said.

For this, 150 cooks are working day and night for the past seven days. Sharavana said they have formed four teams and preparing the laddus at Dondusa mutt. “We will start dispatching them to other districts from Wednesday,” he said. Each laddu weighs 100 grams. “One laddu costs around Rs 20 and with 3.5 lakh laddus, the cost is around Rs 70 lakh. We are paying Rs 2 per laddu to the cooks,” he said.
