BANGALORE: Dejected over life, a woman allegedly poisoned her seven-year-old daughter and committed suicide by consuming the same. The tragic incident took place in Sathanur Colony in Bagalur police station limits on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Subbulakshmi and her daughter Madhushree, a first standard student. Subbulakshmi married Manjunath about nine years back and the latter had deserted her four years back.
Though the reason for the incident is yet to be investigated, the police have suspected that depression and loneliness might have led Subbulakshmi to commit the act. Bagalur police have registered a case of murder and unnatural death.
