BANGALORE: V S Dental college along with Lions J P Nagar organisation jointly opened a dental clinic at Shantinagar Maternity Hospital. Mayor, Sharadamma, inaugurated the clinic. The clinic will be open for poor citizens, 5 days in a week, free of cost.The Mayor Sharadamma said, “I am proud of the initiative taken. BBMP is committed to provide basic facilities to the clinic. It is ready to sign MOU with any private institution which will come forward to provide free services to citizens.”

MLA N A Harish said,” “Shantinagar pays highest revenue, hence I appeal to the BBMP to take up more developmental works in this constituency.” He also added, “Since the maternity hospital receive more number of cesarean cases, the hospital in not in an position to extend its facilities to poor women. So I request BBMP to consider the matter  and  provide cesarean facilites at the hospital.” Deputy Mayor Harish, BBMP opposition leader Uday Shankar were also present at the event.
