BANGALORE: ‘Hastakala’, an artifacts exhibition will be organised by Manya Art and Kraft at Mangala Kalyana Mantapam, 7 th block Koramangala from January 6 to 15. This is event is organised to celebrate the culture and tradition of the country. It is also organised to encourage and appreciate the artisans’ endeavour. The event also brings the artisans from the far flung areas to the city.

The main attractions of this exhibitions are Pattachitra from Orissa, miniature painting and lac work from Rajasthan, Tussar from Bihar and Jharkhand, Phulkar,  Kachipuram sarees and Batik prints from West Bengal, Stoles from Kashmir embroidered and printed textiles from Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat and Maharastra. Apart from these, one also has opportunity to explore the soft furnishings, paper products, Tanjore paintings, Channapatna wooden craft, wood carvings on small panels in all sizes. There are also display of wooden silver jewellery, Jaipur jutties, murals and others.
