BANGALORE: Dejected over the death of her husband, wife of Jamburu Surappa Ramesh (39), a techie who died of cardiac arrest after wild elephants attacked him, attempted suicide by consuming poison at her residence in Kumarswamy Layout on Monday afternoon.
Yashoda (34), reportedly consumed poison lacing it with a soft drink.
The police said that her family members noticed her lying on the floor in the house and shifted her to a hospital in J P Nagar. Ramesh, a native of Shimoga, had gone to take pictures of wild elephants.
But he moved too close to the animals and they attacked him. He died of heart attack.
