BANGALOARE: The sleuths of the Women and Narcotics Squad of the Central Crime Branch (CCB) arrested a drug peddler and recovered 0.1 gram LSD (Lysergic Acid Diethylamide) blotter paper and 10 gram of magic mushroom worth Rs 20,000, a cash of Rs 1,900, two mobiles and a two-wheeler from him. Alex Thomas (23) of Koramangala V block is the accused.

The police said that he had got LSD from one M C Ashwin of Gurumurthy Street in Ulsoor, while he obtained magic mushroom from a person when he had gone to Kodaikanal in Tamil Nadu recently.

He sold them to youth in the city at exorbitant prices, the police said.

Meanwhile, Ashwin, who was arrested just about 15 days ago in a drug peddling case, was arrested for the second time when he went to the Central Crime Branch  office on Sunday.

“In connection with his previous arrest, he was granted bail and was directed by the court to appear before the CCB  sleuths once in a week. When he came, Alex noticed him and informed us that he had obtained LSD from him. He was immediately arrested,” police explained.
