BANGALORE: An Assistant Sub-Inspector of Vyalikaval police station died of cardiac arrest while on duty on Wednesday. J N Nanjunde Gowda, 52, a resident of Kempegowda Nagar in Peenya is the deceased. The police said that the ASI collapsed due to massive heart attack near Chowdiah Memorial Hall in Malleswaram, while he was on duty.
He was shifted to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead. He had joined the police service in 1979 as a police constable.
It may be recalled that Janardhan (37), a traffic police head constable had died of massive cardiac arrest on January 5.
