BANGALORE: A job aspirant from Andhra Pradesh committed suicide by hanging herself at a PG centre in Marutinagar in Madiwala police station limits on Tuesday. The reason for the suicide is yet to be ascertained. The deceased, Deepti, 25, a B Tech graduate, was a native of Andhra Pradesh.

The police said that Deepti had come to the city in search of a job. She was staying at a PG accommodation. The incident came to light when other roommates returned in the evening and saw her hanging from the ceiling. Later, they informed the police.

“Her father had passed away some time ago.  She was depressed as she had not found a job. The exact reason  will be known  after the investigation,” the police said.
