BANGALORE: Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda called on Governor H R Bhardwaj at Raj Bhavan on Saturday and invited him to address the joint session of the state Legislature slated to begin on January 30.

“I greeted the Governor on the eve of Sankranthi apart from inviting him to address the Legislature,” the chief minister addressed reporters after coming out of the Raj Bhavan.

He replied in the negative when asked if the vexed and contentious issue of the delay in appointing the next chief of the office of the Lokayukta was discussed. “This was not the occasion to discuss political and administrative matters,” Sadananda Gowda added.
