BANGALORE: National Youth Day was celebrated in the city recently at BES College.

The event focused on competitive and youth cultural and sports achievements including vocational excellence award .

Ashok Maheshwari, chairman of National Youth Day Celebrations committee, addressing the audience said, “This event is organised to inspire youth for nation building.“ The motto of the event was to enhance talents and creativity beside educational grades.

The event also attempted to nurture the culture of leadership and patriotism through programmes.

Rickey Kej, dentist turned music director was felicitated at the event.

Addressing the audience he shared his journey to success.

He regretted that he wasted five years to a become dentist.

He also said that he could have given more time to his passion and achieved more.

He asked students to follow their instinct and make success in the chosen field.
