BANGALORE: Power cuts in the city is not a uncommon phenomenon. To avoid a crisis like Shantinagar on January 15, The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) have issued a notification for the public stating that, “The consumers of the following areas coming under 66/11 KV Vijayapura Sub-Station will not have power supply on Sunday, January 22 between 10am to 5 pm due to urgent maintenance work.”

“We are glad that the BESCOM officials  are taking steps to aware the people. This will at least help us to take precautionary measures,” said Som, a resident of Vijayapura Sub-Station. The areas affected are Vijayapura Town  and surroundings areas.Co-operation from the public is requested.
