BANGALORE: Maruti Suzuki India Limited, an automobile manufacturer organised a cultural contest named ‘Colors of Youth,’ open only to students from engineering and management colleges on January 19.
The competition took place at IIM, Bangalore and saw 8 students making it to the zonal rounds from a total of 85 participants. Some of the prestigious participating colleges were Christ University Institute of Management, International Institute of Business Studies, ICFAI Business School, Manipal Institute of Management, Manipal Institute of Management, Alliance Business School, Bangalore Institute of Management Studies. The highlight of this round was Adhvithi and Ashvithi Shetty from Manipal Institute of Management who
showcased his talent of dance. The eminent panel of judges includes noted musician Subir Malik (Parikrama) and Diana Hayden, international model and former Miss World.
Through ‘Maruti Suzuki Colors of Youth 2011’ the Company connects with the youth from national B-schools and professional colleges of the country. The competition evaluates the performance skills and puts them through a general awareness quiz to bring out the overall winner.
Shashank Srivastava, chief general manager of Maruti Suzuki, says, “Colors of Youth 2011’ promises to provide a national level platform for students from varied backgrounds.”This competition spans over a period of 3 months. It will be contested across 10 cities at leading business schools. The preliminary were followed by the 4 zonal rounds and a mega finale at New Delhi.The winners will get a chance to win a brand new Maruti Suzuki Ritz and other exciting prizes. The other cities are Delhi, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Pune, Indore, Lucknow, Chennai, Mumbai and Bangalore.
