BANGALORE: Former minister Bheemmanna Khandre has opposed the State government’s decision to appoint an administrator for Veerashaiva Mahasabha.
Speaking to reporters, Khandre said the government hurriedly appointed the administrator and called it a ‘gross violation of the Constitution.
He said he served as Chairman of Veerashaiva Mahasabha from 1999 to 2011. “My term got over in 2011 and very shortly election was supposed to be conducted. Unfortunately, the government has appointed administrator and we demand State government to revoke its decision,” he added.
