BANGALORE: Members of Bharatiya Vishwakarma Seva Parishath are staging a demonstration on January 24 to urge the government to announce a government holiday on September 17 which is observed as Vishwakarma Jayanthi.

Speaking to reporters, the Parishath President Eshwar Vishwakarma said the demonstration will be staged in front of the Town Hall. Shivasujnanamurthy Swamiji of Vishwakarma Samsthana, Aremadanahalli, will take part in the demonstration. “Vishwakarma community’s contribution to society is very precious,” he said.
