BANGALORE: Mrinalini Venkatesh, is all set to perform her Rangapravesham at ADA Rangamandira at 6 pm on Thursday. She had an early initiation to dance as she learnt Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi under Madhusudhan and Sandhya Madhusudhan.

She was introduced to Spoorthy School of Dance in 2002 under the guidance of Suma Rajesh, a disciple of B Bhanumathi. She has also secured distinction in the junior grade examination conducted by the Karnataka State Education Board and has won prizes at her college competitions conducted by the Kannada Sahitya Parishat.

Suma added, “It was after the exams that she took up dance with all seriousness.”

Mrinalini has also performed at several places like Mysore Dasara, Shivaratri Nrityotsava, BEML Kalakshetra KGF.

She has been able to balance the academics and dance pursuits simultaneously. Speaking about her practice, “I set aside four hours a day for dance,” concluded Mrinalini.
