BANGALORE: The Horticulture department of Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) won the first prize in a flower show organised by Karnataka State Horticulture department in association with Mysore Horticultural Society on the 63rd Republic Day.
A release from BBMP stated that writer Dr Baraguru Ramachandra distributed prizes on Friday at Dr M H Marigowda Memorial Hall. BBMP won 59 prizes under ornamental plants category and 36 prizes under Bonsai category. BBMP also won 22 individual awards, including Mayor Rolling Shield.
