BANGALORE: An employee of a private company died after he was knocked down by a speeding two-wheeler near CMTI Junction near Goreguntepalya Ring Road on Thursday.

The victim Kumar H, 40, was a resident of Laggere. He was working at Saravana Steel Alliance in Peenya. At about 8 pm on Thursday, Kumar was knocked down by a speeding bike, while he was trying to cross the road. He sustained severe injuries and was taken to a private hospital where he was declared brought dead.

Yeshwantpura traffic police lodged a complaint, and seized the bike.

The police said an unidentified rider, who was also injured in the accident, was treated at a city-based hospital. Police said he would be  arrested after treatment.
