BANGALORE: Dejected over life, a 54-year-old woman ended her life by hanging at her residence near Gangammanagudi Circle on Friday.
The deceased Chandrika, was married to Manimaran, a employee with a private firm. The couple had no children. Police said that Manimaran had gone to work on Friday and when he returned in the evening, he found his wife hanging in the house. Later, he reported the matter to the police.
It is suspected that depression might have led Chandrika to take the extreme step. Gangammanagudi police have registered a case in this connection and are investigating. No foul play is suspected.
