BANGALORE: An ex-serviceman’s wife died after a lorry ran over her on Hesaraghatta main road on Saturday.
Kamalesh Raghav, 45, was wife of a retired defence personnel Raghav.
The couple were residing in Viveknagar.
The police said that they were heading towards Hesaraghatta on a Honda Dio.
The scooter skid on the main road and the couple fell.
Meanwhile, a speeding lorry coming from behind ran over Kamalesh and sped away.
While being shifted to a nearby hospital, she succumbed.
Raghav, who is said to be a private security personnel at BIA, escaped with some minor injuries.
Peenya traffic police have registered a case.
