BANGALORE: The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board has started a drive against the illegal water connections. It has traced 191 illegal connections in its Bangalore West, Central and South-East sub-divisional areas. Out of the above traced illegal water connections 94 were regularized by collecting the necessary documents and charges. The rest were slapped with notices and action will be taken as per the law.
Areas like V V Puram, Bannappa Park, 15 cases has been noticed where water was being pumped directly from the pipes. Such pumps were seized. The drive have been started from January 18, 2012.
