The 13th annual sports day of Maruti Seva Centre for Special Education, at Kolathur, was held at ICF Stadium on February 24.

Following the march past and drill, a number of sports events, designed to suit the abilities of the children, were held. C S Visalakshi, principal, Maruti Seva Centre, welcomed the guests, parents and supporters. In his address, S Ramalingam, founder-director of the Centre, emphasised the importance of sports in the development of special children.

Valavan, programme manager, Community Health Education Society, Chennai, was the chief guest and Jayalakshmi, sub-registrar Tamil Nadu Cooperative Department and Kavimamani S Ezhilan, PG Teacher, Grace Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Chennai, were the guests of honour. The occasion came to a conclusion with the distribution of prizes to the students.
