BANGALORE: Dr Ramesh Hospital is organising ‘Let’s fight against Cervical Cancer,’ awareness campaign on the occasion of International Women’s Day on March 8.
This campaign is planned as a part of social responsibility and awareness. Keeping this in mind an awareness programme is being held where in cervical cancer’s symptoms, development, physical changes on account of the disease, screening and treatment procedures will be discussed.
Spreading awareness by using graphics, distributing the pamphlets and discussions with doctors are highlights of the campaign.
“Cervical cancer starts from the mouth of the uterus. If treated early it may be cured. In India every seven minutes a woman is dying of cervical cancer,” said Dr Ramesh, Gynaecologist, Dr Ramesh Hospital.
“The cause for this cancer is HPV virus. This cancer may be controlled by proper education, screening and vaccination,” he added
