BANGALORE: Many among us think that whatever happens in our life is entirely by chance and no matter how hard we try to work at changing the situations, things will remain the same. But there are some who feel that everything in life is under our control and life is fundamentally managed. Going by the same name, the book — Life is Fundamentally Management talks about doing things in complete alignment with one’s being and following the inner voice and how AQ (Alignment Quotient) is more important than IQ (Intelligence Quotient) and EQ (Emotional Intelligence). The book is a result of the experiences of authors A Senthivel and Govind Babu who have cited examples from their personal struggles, experiences and life transformation workshops they have conducted for corporates and individuals. It tells us how the human mind is in ‘default mode’ right from childhood and how even as kids we are conditioned to believe that individual success is of utmost importance and nothing else matters.

An interesting chapter in the book is where the author suggests that it is high time that women took charge of the world because women are considered embodiments of compassion and they appreciate the importance of being alive. Though men have contributed immensely, they have done it with a great amount of self-destruction. Since men have ruled the world for the last thousand years, the author suggests to give women a chance, for another thousand years. They can start by contesting elections for all the political offices of the world and they can reign supreme is what the author claims.

The book is not exactly an easy read since the reader is expected to fully immerse oneself in a chapter and connect it with their own life experiences. Hence, the readers are expected to involve themselves entirely in the process to have a better understanding of the teachings of the book. The authors tell us not only about the thought process, but also how to use the science behind our thoughts. The book shows how the world around you operates and how to lead a powerful and meaningful life and how you can do it through self-awareness.

Senthivel said, “The way you think will change after reading this book. It will open doors to individual success and well-being of the planet as a whole.”

This book tells you how it becomes easier to transform oneself individually by being more compassionate and loving everybody around you. It will take you on a deep journey and teach you how to make life on planet earth more sustainable through lateral thinking. The book was released by the director of National Institute of Advanced Studies (NIAS), Padmabushan Dr Ramamurthy at IISc Campus.
