BANGALORE:  Upset over poor financial conditions,  two persons end lives in separate incidents.

Devaraju, 32, an autorickshaw driver hanged himself at his residence in Agrahara Dasarahalli on Tuesday.

Police said Devaraju was a habitual drunkard and had debts. A week ago, owner of the auto had taken back  the auto from him. Dejected over this, Devaraju hanged himself at his residence when his wife Gowramma and children were asleep.

“His suicide note states he was not a good citizen, a good husband or a good father, and hence he was taking this extreme step,” police added.

Kamakshipalya police registered a case.

In another incident reported in Jayanagar police stations limits, Srinivasachari, 42, employed at a hotel, and a resident of Jayanagar, hanged himself at his residence on Tuesday.

Police said his financial condition was poor and due to this, his second wife had also divorced him. He had several debts and was not in a position to repay.  Depressed over this, he took the extreme step.

Police registered a case in this connection.
