BANGALORE: “DNA Gene therapy is a perfect tool for prevention and treatment of diseases like glaucoma. The therapy helped me with successful treatment of glaucoma for which I had to suffer for a long span of 15 years,” said former minister for women and child welfare, Vimala Bai Deshmukh.
She was speaking at a press conference organised at Dr Agarwal Hospitals and Gene Research Foundation, here on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Sunita Rana Agarwal, managing trustee, Dr Agarwal Hospitals and Gene Research Foundation said that the DNA Gene Therapy is a treatment for anti-ageing rejuvenation. She further said that a drop of the patient’s blood is taken from the finger and added to the DNA activator (Mana) after which healthy fetal DNA is produced. This is given back to the patient through a ten- day subcutaneous injection course. Through this technology various diseases like HIV, cancer, diabetes, tuberculosis can be treated along with trauma and antiageing.
