BANGALORE: On Thursday, Bangalore received a few spells of pre-monsoon rains. Though it rained only for a short duration, many areas of the city, where de-silting works and other monsoon preparations were underway, felt the brunt of the rains. The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) will be undertaking a community cleaning exercise in Kacharakanahalli (Ward No 29), which comes under the Sarvagna Nagara assembly constituency on March 17. The cleaning will

commence at 8 am.

The executive engineer (Sarvagnanagar) has informed that all engineers from the Public Works department (BBMP) will supervise the work. Further more there will be guangmen, officials from the Pollution Control Board and Health department officials from the Palike and Pourakarmika among others, would also be present to ensure effective implementation of the exercise.
