BANGALORE: An unidentified miscreant on the pretest of searching for a house, robbed a owner of the house in Ideal Homes Layout in Rajarajeshwarinagar on Wednesday.

Police said the victim Nandini Acharya, 70, a resident of Ideal Homes Layout was alone at home when the incident took place. According to sources, the miscreant allegedly approached Nandini, claiming that he wanted to rent her house. Reportedly, they paid frequent visits to the victim’s house, to ensure she was alone. Sources said, on Wednesday afternoon, the miscreant went to Nandini’s house and looked around the house. After a while, he asked for drinking water, and when Nandini came close to offer the glass of water, the miscreant snatched her chain and fled. Rajarajeshwarinagar police registered a case.

Unidentifed Pedestrain Killed in Accident

A pedestrian was killed in a road accident on Thursday. The deceased is said to be aged between 35 and 40 years. Police said at around 6 am, the deceased was trying to cross Hosur Road near Konappana Agrahara when an unidentified vehicle ran over him.

Police said the deceased is about 5’9” and has inked ‘Giri’ on his left hand, and ‘Gowri’ on right hand. Electronics City police registered a case.
