BANGALORE: A 27-year-old executive engineer employed with a software firm was found hanging at her residence in Mattikere on Sunday.

The deceased Shubha Varadaraj Hatwar, was a native of Sirsi in Uttara Kannada district.

Police said that Shubha was working at a company located in Whitefield and had rented a house in Mattikere a few years ago. Allegedly, she had not come out of the house for four days. On Sunday morning, her neighbours sensed foul smell and informed the police. Police broke open the door of her house and found her hanging from the ceiling in her room.

“The reason for the suicide is yet to be ascertained. Her suicide note states that she is responsible for her death. She has given her bank account details in the note and has requested her parents to pay her credit card bills,” police added.Yeswantpur police registered a case.
