BANGALORE: Siddapura police arrested four notorious dacoits who had allegedly hatched a plot to eliminate their opponent gang member and rob people. The accused Venkatesh alias Gajji Venkatesh, 32, Guru alias Gururaja, 33, Naga alias Emme Naga, 38, and Umesh alias Patel, 28, are all residents of Byrasandra. Police said the gang was arrested while they were waiting near Mountain Street Road in Jayanagar to attack their rival gang member.

Among the accused, Venkatesh and Guru are rowdy sheeters in Siddapura police station, while the other two are habitual offenders.

“They were released on bail recently. They had rivalry with one Rizwan alias Kullu. They were waiting on Mountain Street Road to attack him. They had also planned to rob people who pass by on that street,” the police explained.
