MALDA (West Bengal): Passengers of the Guwahati- Bangalore Express panicked on Friday evening as smoke was noticed billowing out from one of the coaches in Malda district, the railway officials said.

The train was detained at Malda station for about 30 minutes after the smoke was detected from a coach where the differently- abled are seated.

The officials said a minor fire was noticed from the brake shoe and was immediately put out.

No damage or injuries were reported in the incident.
