BANGALORE: Unidentified miscreants robbed a 34-yearold techie of his gold and diamond ornaments on the pretext of dropping him home. The incident was reported near East End D Main in Jayanagar Ninth Main on Thursday night.
Durgaprasad, a resident of Neeladri Nagar in Electronic City, is the victim.
The police said that the victim was waiting for a bus at East End bus stop on Thursday night. Meanwhile, three unidentified persons came in a Tata Indica car and offered him lift.
Trusting them, Durgaprasad boarded the car and after a while the three allegedly thrashed him and snatched his gold chain, bracelet and a diamond ring and pushed him out of the car and escaped.
Later, the victim filed a case with Tilaknagar police. Further investigations are on.
