BANGALORE: Security guards of Art of Living Centre allegedly assaulted a villager accusing him of attempting to commit Sandalwood theft from their premises.
According to the police, villagers of Basappana Palya, which is behind the Centre, have to pass through the Centre’s premises to reach the village.
Incidentally, a few sandalwood theft cases were reported on the premises recently.
In this backdrop, the security guards of the Centre allegedly picked up an argument with a few villagers who were passing through the premises on Sunday morning and allegedly assaulted one Siddappa.
