SCAD World School (SWS) is all set to receive students for the academic year 2012-13. The school is located in the 500-acre SCAD Knowledge City, Pollachi Highway, Palladam near Coimbatore.

In a press meet held recently, Dr Cletus Babu, founder-chairman, SCAD Group of Institutions, said, “With no more than 20 students in each class, the school campus comes with sports facilities, including swimming, tennis, horse riding, basketball, cricket and football. Students will learn photography, fashion designing, financial management and other skills. Music, dance and drama will be an integral part of the curriculum.”

The students will work on social outreach programmes in and around the villages to build community consciousness, he added.

SWS offers international      curricula at all levels. The International Primary Curriculum follows themes that capture children’s interest and imagination. Older students will follow the IGCSE (Cambridge) and ICSE (India). The school plans to offer the IB diploma from 2014.
