BANGALORE: The Directorate of Census Operations, Karnataka, filed the key results from Census 2011 in housing, household amenities and assets of the state.
The Census of India 2011 was conducted in two phases: ‘Houselisting and Housing Census’ and ‘Population Enumeration’.
The first phase conducted in every state and union territory in the period of 45 days, between April 2010 to September 2010, aimed at diminishing duplication and avoiding omission.
The second phase: Houselisting and Housing Census was conducted in Karnataka from April 15, 2010 to June 1, 2010, the Directorate of Census Operations, Karnataka, said.
