BANGALORE: Repair works will begin at city’s oldest elevated flyover at Sirsi Circle from March 30. After several complaints, BBMP will now replace modular expansion joints on the stretch. BBMP announced that the repair works would be completed in three months.

The first-phase of the construction work would last for 10-12 days. “During this period, traffic will be diverted towards down ramp that leads to Chamarajapet. This is the best alternate for commuters. More traffic constables will be deployed on the stretch to smoothen out traffic woes if any,” said M A Saleem, Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic). BBMP is reportedly spending `4.5 crore for the repair works and plans to cover the main construction parts during night.
