BANGALORE: On the occasion of 2611th Bhagwan Mahaveer Jayanthi on April 4, Jain Yuva Sanghatan, a social organisation, will be celebrating ‘Janm Kalyan Mahotsav'. Celebrations will commence with ‘Non-Violence and World Peace’ march from Town Hall to Freedom Park, which will be flagged of by City Police Commissioner Jyothi Prakash Mirji at 8 am.
Ashok Pitaliya, member of the organisation said, “Jain community is known for their role in peace, education and service sector. On April 4, Jain Yuva Sanghatan Trust will hold workshops which aims to deal with issues related to education and health.”
Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda, former CM B S Yeddyurappa, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister S Suresh Kumar, Housing Minister V Somanna and Member of Parliament Ananth Kumar will be present.
