Final counselling for PG seats

Merit students who could not get postgraduate seats at Bangalore University (BU) now have a second chance.

According to a press release from the Centralised PG Admission Committee, the university will conduct a final round of counselling for seats in various PG courses on October 8 and 9.

“In view of the demand from various quarters for filling up of the vacancies in various PG departments of BU, Kolar PG Centre and affiliated colleges, including government colleges, it is decided to hold final round of counselling among the candidates who have already filed their applications with the University,” the release stated.

The final round of counselling according to the merit order will be held on October 8 for Science, Law and Education faculties and October 9 for Arts and Commerce faculties between 9 am and 5 pm at the Jnana Jyothi Auditorium on Central College campus.

“A few seats have remained vacant as there were many cancellations. One cancellation saw many students vouching for the seat. We want to give seats to students with merit,” said M C Radhakrishna, Chairman of the PG Admission Committee.
