Abraham & Thakore’s latest collection was showcased in the city by recently. Fashion connoisseurs got a taste of the designer’s latest fall winter collection. From bold colours and mirrors, to the subdued elegance of black and white, the hand woven textiles were designed to perfection. The collection had strong separates too. Using a modern urban Indian woman’s wardrobe, his silhouettes had subtle hints of traditional clothing.
The fabrics were made of silk, cotton and wool and explored the essence of decoration and ornamentation with a twist of embroidery. The colour palette ranged from black, white and ivory to the many shades of lac, madder and red.
Showcasing the designs in style were some of the Bangalore-based models. It was the intricate designs that did the magic for Partho Ghosh, Karan, Nina, Shamaila, Arry, Elixir and Mamta. One of the models, Nina, said, “It has been a great experience to be a part of the show.” To this, model Partho Ghosh further added, “The designs were classy and comfortable.”
